The Liberty community hall needs a repair café workshop - Dipa's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Bhaktapur are raising $150 for a repair café workshop at the Liberty community hall.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $150.
It will serve about 263 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $150 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $25
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $90
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

You're not alone, Dipa. Shared this with my family. Blessings
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Dipa.
Sure. The biggest one is tools hire and delivery, $25. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
Praying for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Bhaktapur
Good luck. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Lagos
Sending strength, Dipa. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
thinking of you. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Bhaktapur.
