The Liberty community hall needs a rainwater harvesting system - Isabela's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Niterói are raising $850 for a rainwater harvesting system at the Liberty community hall.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $370, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 580 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $850 goes:
• Materials: $660
• Tools hire and delivery: $75
• Permits and inspections: $115
Thank you so much.

Good luck. Great idea, hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Berlin
You're not alone, Isabela. Shared this with my family.
