The Karimi family fled Venezuela - help them rebuild in Embakasi
Help a family of 5 start their new life in Embakasi: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Venezuela 9 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Embakasi. We're a family of five and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was an electrician in Venezuela, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $500 goes:
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $40
• Rent deposit and first month: $340
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $120
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
- Margaret
