The Jacaranda vacant lot needs a skate park - Veronika's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $900 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $900.
It will serve about 344 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $900 goes:
• Materials: $660
• Tools hire and delivery: $135
• Safety equipment and signage: $105
Every share and every dollar helps.
