A repair café workshop for the Unity community hall: help our neighbors in Odesa
A community-led a repair café workshop at the Unity community hall that will serve 438 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $240, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 438 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $360
• Permits and inspections: $65
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
• Tools hire and delivery: $150
With deep gratitude,
Oleg

Stay strong, Oleg. Shared this with my family
wishing you peace. More neighborhoods should do this. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care.
