The Jacaranda health centre yard needs a solar-powered water pump - Valentina's neighborhood project

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 585 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $270 • Permits and inspections: $70 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 • Tools hire and delivery: $65 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Valentina
