The Jacaranda health centre yard needs a community garden - Neelam's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $600 for materials.
🇮🇳 India1,612 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 134 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $420
• Safety equipment and signage: $75
• Tools hire and delivery: $105
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Praying for you, Neelam. More neighborhoods should do this. After 30 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless
