We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $700 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $700. It will serve about 344 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $700 goes: • Materials: $550 • Permits and inspections: $50 • Safety equipment and signage: $50 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 Thanks for reading all this. - Hoa
