The Jacaranda community hall needs a repair café workshop - Subramanian's neighborhood project

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda community hall, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $115, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 163 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $310 • Permits and inspections: $20 • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Tools hire and delivery: $60 Thanks for being kind about this.
