The Jacaranda community hall needs a repair café workshop - Lorena's neighborhood project
A community-led a repair café workshop at the Jacaranda community hall that will serve 385 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,150.
It will serve about 385 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Tools hire and delivery: $155
