The Jacaranda community hall needs a community fridge - Iván's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Los Angeles are raising $3,600 for a community fridge at the Jacaranda community hall.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $1,400, and the remaining cost is $3,600.
It will serve about 122 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,600 goes:
• Materials: $2,850
• Permits and inspections: $125
• Safety equipment and signage: $320
• Tools hire and delivery: $305
