The Harmony vacant lot needs a repair café workshop - Babu's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $300 for materials.
🇮🇳 Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India427 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 116 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $190
• Permits and inspections: $60
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
• Tools hire and delivery: $25
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Rooting for you, Babu. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Blessings.
you're not alone, Babu. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Pune donated after I showed her your page. All the best.
