The Harmony vacant lot needs a playground - Arda's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Kadıköy are raising $950 for a playground at the Harmony vacant lot.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $950.
It will serve about 132 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $950 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $120
• Permits and inspections: $65
• Materials: $765
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Sending love. This could happen to any of us. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too
is there anything that isn't money that would help Arda?
Thank you. If you're in Kadıköy I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Let me know if you want more detail.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Kadıköy.
Hope this works out for you. Thinking of Kadıköy!
how is Arda doing now?
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 15 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
you're not alone, Arda. Shared it with a few friends. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
Hope things get better soon, Arda. Hope you get there. I hope January is when things finally get easier. Take care
