The Harmony vacant lot needs a free library and reading room - Zain's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $350 for materials.
🇵🇰 Pakistan667 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 567 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $240
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
Thank you so much.

Wishing you peace, Zain. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Lahore.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Zain?
I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it!
