A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at the Harmony health centre yard that will serve 220 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,100.
It will serve about 220 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $300
• Tools hire and delivery: $420
• Permits and inspections: $380
