The Harmony health centre yard needs a free library and reading room - Leilani's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $3,300 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,300.
It will serve about 120 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Materials: $2,300

• Safety equipment and signage: $210
• Tools hire and delivery: $470
