The Harmony health centre yard needs a free library and reading room - Godwin's neighborhood project

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 362 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $250 goes: • Materials: $175 • Permits and inspections: $20 • Safety equipment and signage: $20 • Tools hire and delivery: $35 Every share and every dollar helps.
