The Freedom vacant lot needs a repair café workshop - Christina's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $2,450 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,450.
It will serve about 352 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Materials: $1,700
• Permits and inspections: $180
• Safety equipment and signage: $260
• Tools hire and delivery: $310
