The Freedom health centre yard needs a repair café workshop - Imad's neighborhood project

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 367 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $350 goes: • Materials: $175 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Tools hire and delivery: $85 Glad we found this place.
