The Freedom health centre yard needs a playground - Andre's neighborhood project

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,100. It will serve about 323 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,100 goes: • Permits and inspections: $90 • Materials: $990 • Safety equipment and signage: $20 Thank you so much. - Andre
