The Freedom health centre yard needs a covered market stall space - Joshua's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $130, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 322 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
