The Cedar vacant lot needs a solar-powered water pump - Karin's neighborhood project

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $400 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 581 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $400 goes: • Materials: $240 • Permits and inspections: $60 • Safety equipment and signage: $55 • Tools hire and delivery: $45 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Karin
