The Cedar health centre yard needs a solar-powered water pump - Nahid's neighborhood project

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $70, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 513 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $400 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $25 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Materials: $345 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Nahid
