The Baobab health centre yard needs a repair café workshop - Peace's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $500 for materials.
🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria1,571 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 276 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $360
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
I hope life is good to you.
