The Baobab health centre yard needs a covered market stall space - Yamini's neighborhood project

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,000. It will serve about 155 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,000 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $380 • Permits and inspections: $260 • Tools hire and delivery: $360 Glad we found this place.
