The Baobab community hall needs a free library and reading room - Jaxon's neighborhood project
A community-led a free library and reading room at the Baobab community hall that will serve 91 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $420, and the remaining cost is $1,650.
It will serve about 91 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Materials: $890
• Tools hire and delivery: $290

Sure. The biggest one is safety equipment and signage, $470. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. I'll keep the page updated.
