The Baobab community hall needs a community garden - Khalid's neighborhood project

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 174 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $350 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $25 • Materials: $280 • Tools hire and delivery: $45 I hope life is good to you. - Khalid
