The Baobab community hall needs a community fridge - Geetha's neighborhood project
A community-led a community fridge at the Baobab community hall that will serve 485 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 485 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $370
• Permits and inspections: $60
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
