A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at the Acacia community hall that will serve 348 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 348 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $250 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Materials: $160
• Permits and inspections: $35
Thanks for being kind about this.
