The Abdi family fled Myanmar - help them rebuild in Kisumu
The Abdi family are rebuilding in Kisumu after leaving Myanmar; your gift pays for housing basics.

My family left Myanmar 12 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Kisumu. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in June.
I was a nurse in Myanmar, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by a local church-run settlement group, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $300 goes:
• Language classes and bus passes: $120
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $40
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $140
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Aisha.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. language classes and bus passes comes first ($120) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
praying for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too. God bless
Hope things get better soon, Aisha. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Bakersfield.
Take care. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Cox's Bazar this morning.
Take care, Aisha. Your post was clear and honest. Please keep us posted. God bless.
