Thủ Đức
Thảo is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a computer science degree at Thủ Đức University, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $750. The registrar has said Thảo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Thảo has a 3.9 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Thảo would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Thảo isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $750 goes: • Final term tuition: $330 • Outstanding tuition balance: $390 • Textbooks and materials: $30 I hope life is good to you. - Lan

Keep going, Lan. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Thinking of Thủ Đức.
