Thành received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A final eviction notice arrived last week. Thành needs $500 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Thủ Đức.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Friday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $500.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by April, we must leave.
I've 4 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $260
• Late fees and court costs: $55
• Utilities in arrears: $55
• First month of rent as a buffer: $130
Thank you for reading my story.

Sending good thoughts, Thành. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Sending good thoughts, Thành. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Thủ Đức!
sending good thoughts, Thành. Looking forward to the next update.
