My landlord in Kadıköy has given me a 40% rent increase with a 30-day notice. I've read what I can online, but the rules are confusing and different sources contradict each other.
I'm hoping that someone with experience in housing or tenant rights in Istanbul could spare 20-30 minutes to explain the process, the deadlines and the documents I should collect.
I have my lease, all communications and photos organized. I'm happy to share them privately. I can't pay for a lawyer, so any guidance on free services in Istanbul would also be appreciated.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope it all works out. Shared this with my family. After 25 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
