Tejas needs a prosthetic leg - help us make it happen
Tejas needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $100.
🇮🇳 Pune, Maharashtra, India56 views
I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Pune Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $100 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $45
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
Every share and every dollar helps.
