In May I was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly. My surgeon at Bowling Green University Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for August. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $10,500, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $7,400 short.
