Tâm's palate reconstruction surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Tâm needs palate reconstruction surgery at Saint Joseph Hospital and the family is $350 short of the hospital's estimate.

Tâm was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in June. The surgeon at Saint Joseph Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $580, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $350 short.
my husband has been in and out of Saint Joseph Hospital since June. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $580 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Tâm struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Tâm won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $350 goes:
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $185
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $100
• Post-operative medication: $65
With deep gratitude,
Oanh
