Sycamore Primary School needs a free library and reading room - Arianna's neighborhood project
A community-led a free library and reading room at Sycamore Primary School that will serve 500 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Sycamore Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,900.
It will serve about 500 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Materials: $1,050
• Permits and inspections: $170
• Safety equipment and signage: $460
• Tools hire and delivery: $220
