Sycamore Park needs a skate park - Wilma's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Amsterdam are raising $2,600 for a skate park at Sycamore Park.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Sycamore Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,600.
It will serve about 454 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Materials: $2,000
• Permits and inspections: $125
• Safety equipment and signage: $115
• Tools hire and delivery: $360
