Sycamore Park needs a playground - Hudson's neighborhood project
A community-led a playground at Sycamore Park that will serve 309 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Sycamore Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,800.
It will serve about 309 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,800 goes:
• Materials: $1,800
• Permits and inspections: $290
• Safety equipment and signage: $270
• Tools hire and delivery: $440
