Suthep needs a cold-storage unit to reopen a small grocery stall
Suthep lost a cold-storage unit to the demolition of the market and needs $400 to reopen a small grocery stall and support the family.

For four years I have run a small grocery stall in Bangkok. In November, the demolition of the market took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $400 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $70
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $195
• Shop repairs and licensing: $135
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thanks for sharing this, Suthep. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Suthep.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. working capital for the first month comes first ($70) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
Thinking of you, Suthep. Small businesses are the heart of Bangkok. Hope you're open again soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
hope things get better soon. This could happen to any of us. My husband and I read this together.
best of luck, Suthep. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. My husband and I read this together.
