Zuzanna was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in June. The surgeon at Gliwice Regional Medical Center recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,200, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $900 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Gliwice Regional Medical Center since June. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,200 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Zuzanna struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Zuzanna won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
