Surgery fund for Yasir: laparoscopic cyst removal in Lahore
Yasir needs laparoscopic cyst removal at Lahore University Hospital and the family is $800 short of the hospital's estimate.

In August I was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections. My surgeon at Lahore University Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for November. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,050, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $800 short.
Doctors at Lahore University Hospital told me a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. I work as a call-centre agent, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,050 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a call-centre agent have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $800 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $55
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $390
• Post-operative medication: $55
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $300

Hang in there, Yasir. I hope things turn around soon.
Hang in there, Yasir. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
Rooting for you. Wishing Yasir a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Lahore.
