Ximena was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in August. The surgeon at London Regional Medical Center recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $10,250, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $5,150 short.
my daughter has been in and out of London Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $10,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ximena struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Ximena won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
