Wellington was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in June. The surgeon at Olinda General Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,400, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,700 short.
my son has been in and out of Olinda General Hospital since June. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Wellington struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
