Valentina was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in February. The surgeon at Leicester Community Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,350, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,400 short.
my sister has been in and out of Leicester Community Hospital since February. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,350 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Valentina struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Valentina won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
