Tuhin was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in August. The surgeon at Pune Orthopedic Institute recommended emergency hernia repair, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,450, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,100 short.
my son has been in and out of Pune Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,450 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Tuhin struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Tuhin won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
