Tippawan was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Phuket Community Hospital recommended spinal decompression surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,100, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,850 short.
my wife has been in and out of Phuket Community Hospital since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,100 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Tippawan struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Tippawan won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
