A scheduled cataract surgery in September is out of reach without help covering $1,750 of the cost.

Thabo was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in July. The surgeon at Saint Joseph Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,500, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,750 short.
my son has been in and out of Saint Joseph Hospital since July. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Thabo struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Thabo won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
