Surgery fund for Teun: emergency hernia repair in Haarlem
A scheduled emergency hernia repair in October is out of reach without help covering $6,950 of the cost.

Teun was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in September. The surgeon at Haarlem Regional Medical Center recommended emergency hernia repair, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $11,500, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $6,950 short.
my father has been in and out of Haarlem Regional Medical Center since September. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $11,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Teun struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Teun won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
