Surgery fund for Tarun: a craniotomy in Patna

Tarun was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in October. The surgeon at Patna Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,600, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,200 short.
my husband has been in and out of Patna Community Hospital since October. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,600 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Tarun struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Tarun won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
